What osteopathy is

Osteopathy is a manual medicine that does not set out to treat disease, but to restore health. We work with matter, with movement, and also with something that is harder to name: each person’s vitality.

When all the structures of the body — bones, organs, tissues, fluids — recover their natural mobility, blood and lymph circulate freely and the nervous system can do its work without restriction. And a body that moves well has more resources to adapt to life.

Through a gentle, precise and conscious touch, we support that process in every osteopathy session. Without forcing. Listening.

How we work

Every session starts by listening. Before any hands-on work we want to understand what is happening, since when, what makes it worse and what you have already tried. That conversation is not a formality: it guides everything else.

The hands-on work is gentle. We do not use abrupt manoeuvres and we do not chase the click. What we look for is to restore mobility where it has been lost so the body distributes load better, and that rarely requires force.

We do not promise cures. What we offer is an individual assessment, an explanation of what we find and a proposed plan with a date to review it. If after two or three sessions we see no change, we will say so — and if we believe your case belongs with another professional, we will say that too.

Who it may suit

We see people at very different stages of life, and the approach changes considerably in each. These are the areas we work in:

What the first visit is like

The first visit is above all an assessment. We spend a good part of the time on your history — what brings you, background, ongoing treatment — and on examination, before any work on the couch.

Come in comfortable clothes and bring any report, imaging or medical instruction you have: it saves time and avoids repeating what is already known. If you are under follow-up for anything, say so at the start.

At the end we explain what we found and what we propose. If there is something to do between sessions, it comes out of that conversation.

Every osteopathy session costs €70, including the first one.

Who will see you

We are six professionals and each profile sets out that person's background; our osteopaths' profiles carry the full training record: where each of us studied, with whom and in which year. Our osteopaths also teach at the Grupo Thuban School of Osteopathy in Barcelona.

Some of the questions we are asked most. Each one links to the page where we answer it in full.

How many sessions do I need?

It depends on each case; this is assessed at the first visit and reviewed as treatment progresses.

Osteopathy for adults →

Is it compatible with other medical treatments?

Generally yes, but it is important to tell us about your health situation and medication at the first visit.

Osteopathy for older adults →

From what age can a baby start?

A baby can be assessed from their first weeks of life; we always adapt the touch and the session to their age and development.

Paediatric osteopathy: babies and children →

Is osteopathy safe during pregnancy?

The approach is adapted to each trimester and uses gentle techniques. Even so, every situation is different: your specific case is assessed at the first visit, and for any medical concern we recommend also consulting your midwife or obstetrician.
