Centroterapia, your osteopathy centre in Barcelona
Centroterapia was founded in 2003 in Barcelona with a very simple idea: to support people in recovering their health, in the broadest sense of the word.
The centre
More than 20 years later we continue with the same purpose, but with a team that has grown and an approach that has kept on evolving.
Today we are a team of six professionals — three osteopaths, physiotherapy, psychotherapy and shamanic practice — trained from the same way of understanding the body: as a living, intelligent system, capable of finding its own balance if listened to with the right hands. We do not treat isolated symptoms, we treat people.
You will find us in the heart of Barcelona, in a space designed so that each session is also a moment of calm. Babies, pregnant women, adults, athletes and older adults: in our osteopathy clinic there is a place for every stage of life.
Our way of working
For us the body is not a machine to be repaired, it is a living, intelligent system that knows, in its own memory, how to recover its balance. Our work as osteopaths is to listen to that intelligence and support it with a gentle, conscious touch, without forcing, so that the body itself finds its way back to health.
We do not work "on" the patient, we work "with" them. Each session is a dialogue between our hands and their tissues, and that dialogue is different every time, because every person — and every baby — is different.
A centre that also teaches
The person who treats you is the person who teaches others to treat. The osteopaths at Centroterapia are also teachers at the Grupo Thuban University School in Barcelona, and we run postgraduate courses with international teachers at the centre itself.
For us this is not a line on a CV: it is how we make sure every session applies the same clinical standard we teach to the next generation of osteopaths.
Today, in the same space in the Eixample, three stories live side by side: patients looking for relief, osteopaths training with us, and independent therapists who find their consulting room here.
